About Us

Who We Are

We have been growing trees at this farm for about 20 years. In 2017, we are increasing our production from 20 acres to about 60 acres. We strive to produce quality trees. With our clay soils, we feel our death loss is very minimal and our trees hold moisture well. I can say that with confidence. We grew trees for years for our own production at the two landscape companies I previously owned with amazingly low death loss. We are also able to hold great ball quality because of our soil type.

Who Our Customers Are

We currently ship trees to Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri, mainly to wholesalers or plant distribution businesses and a few landscape contractors. We are a wholesale grower only, we do not retail locally. If someone is looking for retail trees locally, we recommend they shop one of the many exceptional local garden stores or landscape companies in our area. We are very fortunate to have a flatbed trucking company 17 miles from our farm to accommodate our freight needs at good rates.

Our History

Growing up I had two loves - farming and landscaping. In 1992, we purchased our headquarter farm, all 26 acres. Over 20 years, we bought adjunct pieces to get this farm to 156 acres. Since then we have added a few hundred more acres. Also, while a student at Kansas State University, I started my first landscape company in 1992. Then in 2013, we started another company west of here 60 miles. In 2015, I sold both companies. In 2016 we made arrangements and preparations to ramp up the tree farm to about 8,000+ trees per year. This tree farm fulfills the entrepreneur farmer in me without having to farm 2,000 acres. My wife, Rose, and I live on the farm and enjoy nature every day. We are so lucky!
