Scott Howe began growing trees in the early 2000's on his farm just outside of Riley, Kansas. This farm functioned as headquarters for Howe Landscape, Inc., and the associated nursery which supplied trees for the landscape business. In 2016, Howe Landscape, Inc., was sold and shortly after, Fall Color Farms, LLC., was created. Our farm has since evolved from growing just over 1,000 trees per year on 23 acres, to now growing upwards of 12,000 trees per year on 200+ acres.
Creekside was born of an idea created by Miah Howe. Following in her dad's footsteps, Miah graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Horticulture. Following graduation, Miah entered the industry of fruit and vegetable production and apprenticed on multiple farms. Deciding to come back home to Riley, she proposed to start a U-Pick apple orchard and Market under the guidance and partnership of her father at Fall Color Farms. Together, all members of the Fall Color Farms team have contributed to the creation of Creekside.
